AkwaPoly Journal of Communication and Scientific Research (APJOCASR) is home to well-researched scholarly articles that have answered questions on scientific research in the areas of arts, social sciences, sciences, technology, engineering and environmental studies, among others.

Given the Journal's multidisciplinary scope, the following objectives suffice: 

  • Make research papers and scholarly articles available at no cost since contributors will enjoy TetFund's assistance on production costs.
  • Provide a platform where articles can be indexed with DOI for visibility on Google Scholar, Scopus, JSTOR, DOAJ, and many others.
  • Foster the integration of communication studies with scientific research, encouraging contributions that bridge the gap between these fields and highlight their interconnections.
  •  Publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research that advances communication and scientific research knowledge, promoting innovation and new insights.
  • Uphold the highest research integrity and ethics standards, encouraging transparency, dependability, and accountability in all published works. 
  •  Provide a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate their findings, ensuring rigorous academic standards and enhancing the reputation of the Journal within the academic community.
  •  Highlight research that reflects local (e.g., Nigerian or African contexts) and global perspectives, fostering a diverse and inclusive scholarly discourse.

Publications: 

 

APJOCASR publishes both online and hardcopy. The journal is a Tetfund-sponsored project. Papers are peer-reviewed and published free. We accept papers for publication after completing three stages: iThenticate plagiarism, premium grammar checks, and peer review exercise. Once these processes are completed, articles are published online within (10) ten working days. The multidisciplinary indexed journal publishes printed copies annually in June and December. Contributors(authors) whose articles are accepted for publication shall be notified in writing, and their published papers may be visible online in (14) fourteen working days.

Authors Guidelines

 

 Manuscript Preparation

 

  • Title Page:
  • Include the title of the manuscript, which should be concise and informative.
  • List the names of all authors, along with their affiliations.
  • Provide the corresponding author's contact details, including email address.

 

  1. Abstract:
  • Provide an abstract of 150-250 words that summarizes the research's main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Include 3-5 keywords below the abstract.

 

  • Main Text:
  • Structure the manuscript with clear sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced throughout the manuscript.
  • Number all pages consecutively.

 

  • Figures and Tables:
  • Place figures and tables close to where they are mentioned in the text.
  • Each figure and table should be numbered consecutively and include a descriptive caption.
  • Ensure figures and tables are of high quality and easily readable.

 

  • References:
  • Use APA, MLA, and Chicago citation styles for all references.
  • Ensure all references cited in the text are included in the reference list and vice versa.

Note: Be consistent with one style throughout a particular work.

 

  • Length:
  • Manuscripts should be 7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

 

  • Ethical Considerations:
  • Authors must ensure that their research adheres to ethical guidelines, including obtaining necessary approvals and informed consent when applicable.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited; all submissions will be checked for originality.

 

  • Submission Process:
  • Submit manuscripts electronically in Microsoft Word format[MS] via: akwapolyjournal.org  or [email protected] or hard copy to the Journal Secretariat: Ground Floor 2012/2013 TetFund block, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic,Ikot Osurua.

 

  • Peer Review:
  • All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-masked peer-review process.
  • Authors may be required to make revisions based on reviewers' comments before final acceptance.
  • Authors should confirms that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.

 

 

Submission Checklist for APJCSAR:

 

  • Manuscript Formatting:
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12.
  • Line spacing: 1.5 or as specified.
  • Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Word count: Usually between 4,000-6,000 words.
  • Title: Brief and descriptive, aligned with the research topic.

 

  • Title Page:
  • Title of the paper.
  • Full name(s) of author(s).
  • Affiliation(s) of the author(s).
  • Contact details (email and phone).
  • ORCID ID (if required).

 

  • Abstract:
  • Maximum of 250 words.
  • Brief overview of research aim, methods, results, and conclusions.

  • Only include sources that are cited in the text.
